I’m an American writer yet the gravitational center of my world lies somewhere over the North Atlantic between London, Lyon, and New York. My essays often return to questions of identity and place, memory and exile. I write to draw meaning out of encounters, cultures, individuals, and to challenge prevailing interpretations of current (especially SF-tech) culture.
I am currently an EU-funded Masters student in Heritage Studies; my academic research is an investigation of the relationship between authenticity and intolerance.
In my client work, I have consulted for international and education-focused social enterprises to help tell their impact stories, and with Californian and European food and wine clients to engage customers with compelling communications. Published translations include French-to-English exhibition catalogues and Italian-to-English commercial work (websites, print material, books).
